Peaceful Valley began with a family looking for a better way to fill their home with fragrance.
The first pour
Necessity turned into a lasting passion.
In 2000, our two-year-old daughter was diagnosed with asthma. As we learned more about the things we used every day, traditional paraffin candles became a question worth asking.
We began experimenting with soy wax and testing different ways to create the warm, fragrant atmosphere we loved with ingredients that felt more at home in our family’s life.
Simple. Honest. Carefully made.
What started at our kitchen table grew into Peaceful Valley Candle Co.—a small family business built around the belief that everyday rituals deserve thoughtful ingredients.
The name
A peaceful valley we carried with us.
The name was inspired by a valley near Flagstaff, Arizona, where our family once lived. Pine trees, long hikes, animals, and the quiet grandeur of the landscape stayed with us after we relocated to Upstate New York in 2013.
Those memories still shape the company: nature-led scents, seasonal changes, family stories, and the belief that home can be a place to breathe a little deeper.
